Thank you for taking to time to visit my website.
My name is David Rodgers. I am currently an active duty Sailor with the U.S. Navy. I have been in the service for 17 years and my career has allowed for a variety of experiences that have formed me into an innovative person who finds ways to elevate those around him as a way to lead teams to success. I am currently living in Vilnius, Lithuania with my family with plans to return to the U.S. later in 2021.
I presently serve as an Operations Assistant in the Defense Attaché Office (DAO) within U.S. Embassy Vilnius, Lithuania. As a member of the diplomatic community, I have worked closely with allies and partners in the meeting of national defense priorities and provided office management services, that includes roles as an executive assistant and responsibilities in budget & finance, logistics & supply, information technology, travel services, and security.
I am a proud member of the American International School Vilnius’ (AISV) Board of Trustees where I currently serve as President, overseeing 5 committees in the strategic planning and fiscal oversight of a growing independent school
Along with these pursuits I am the founder of Scouts BSA Troop 370, a Boy Scouts of America troop where I serve as the Scoutmaster.
I invite you to read my blog to follow along in my journey as a leader and global citizen.
You can also visit the ‘Resume’ page for links to my resume and LinkedIn profile; along with my contact information. A short narrative of my experience also be found below.
As an Aviation Electrician, I have developed analytical problem solving skills necessary to keep an aircraft mission capable along with skills in Quality Assurance and program management. My time spent as a Navy Recruiter taught me to build relationships to help others identify and realize their goals as Sailors in the U.S. Navy; while managing a salesforce in identifying markets and set strategy to meet the diverse goals needed to build the world’s greatest Navy. Being a member of the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron (Blue Angels) instilled in me a sense of pride and professionalism in representing the Navy and Marine Corps to millions around the country.
I have a passion for all things aviation. While on hold while overseas, I am working towards a Private Pilot’s Certificate. I also enjoy camping and hiking with my family.
